Specialist Swim Clinic. Enquire for dates.

For our specialist swim clinics this year, we've teamed up with Graham Harris aka " Mr Arris".

(Masters) 18 x GB National titles, multiple silver and bronze medallist at Euro & World Championships, 2001 GB & European Masters Record Holder. (50m & 100m. backstroke)

With swimming being the most technically demanding part of the triathlon, the principal goal of your week with us will be to return to your home pool looking and feeling like a far more competent and efficient swimmer than when you left. The week is geared to improving your technique.

You will also experience open water swimming at one of the many delightful lakes in the region and river swims.

Transition from swim to bike will also feature, plus tips on fast wetsuit removal, nutrition, hydration and recovery.

Throughout the week there will be plenty of video analysis and one-to-one coaching, and plenty of time over evening meals to talk over the days events.

Most pool swims on these clinics will be based at Grahams private 20m heated outdoor pool , at his residence just 5 mins away from Tri-topia.

With trips to the river and lakes to really get to practise your pool learned technique in open water, they'll be plenty of time to combine cycling and running too.

Example week Itinerary.

DAY 1 - Settle into your accommodation, light lunch, Dip in the endless pool on site. Graham will assess the task ahead of him for the week!

DAY 2 - Cycle 10km to pool for technique coaching & practice. 100m time trial. (good for calculating percentage rate training swims at home.) video analysis to gage your improvement by the end of the week. Lunch, chill out on the terrace, top up the tan, back in the pool. Cycle home and discuss the days events over one of Lee's excellent diners.

DAY 3 - Time to build your confidence in the open water, remembering what you have already learned in the pool. Tips on 'buoy-spotting' navigation and swimming around buoys. 38km cycle home after lunch if you fancy it if not go in the mini bus.

DAY 4 - Back to the pool. Structured swim set, geared to the ability of the group, reinforce those new techniques, learn the discipline of "off-the-clock" training.

Lunch, back in the water for drill work. A useful and necessary variant to your training. For those occasional pool swum tri's, a few tips on how to turn efficiently.

DAY 5 - Open water day. Longer swim, get the feel of pacing the distance. Going out too fast or too slow can spoil your race, so try it here rather than on race day. Also, a chance to try a beach start and a deep water start. Run up the beach practise transition drills.

DAY 6 - Morning review of the weeks highs and lows. This is the time to choose what you want to work on. There will probably be different needs, so the group may split between the pool and lake, no problem. This day is client led!

Day 7 - In the pool for an end of week 100m time trial. Incorporating your new skills, you should expect to see a noticeable improvement in your PB. We capture your new style on video. Then off to the lake for a BBQ lunch. Swim your preferred distance around a buoyed course so that you can go home with the knowledge that you can achieve the distance of your chosen goal. Relax by the lakeside.

Prices are €850 per person and cover all food and drink for the week, accommodation, coaching and full use of facilities
